砂辺（北谷町）

The Sunabe seawall area in Chatan is a promenade that stretches for about 5 km along the ocean shore just north of the American village with a number of staircases leading into the water. Unlike other places in Okinawa, the corals here are soft which makes this area special. Since the entry points are literally just off the street, Sunabe is a favorite spot for night diving as well. Beneath the water it is customary to see barracudas, nudibranchs as well as a variety of critters. Upon being done with diving for the day, guests are encouraged to try the famous Blue Seal ice-cream with traditional Okinawan flavors from the nearby shop.

We offer free pick-up service from hotels in Onna, Yomitan, and Chatan. Pick-ups from other locations are also possible upon request. Please inquire.

Sunabe (Chatan) is also a popular night diving area.

† Gear rental is included for Discover Scuba and Snorkeling only. For Fun Diving you can rent a full set of gear for ¥ 4000/day and a partial set at a reduced rate. If you do fun dives with us on multiple days, gear rental is free from the third day onward.

§ Drinks and snacks are provided, however lunch is not included. We usually get food for lunch at one of the restaurants or convenience stores close to the shore. Prices range between ¥ 400 and ¥ 1000 depending on your order.
