During each trip, we take plenty of underwater pictures, which you will receive as a present at the end at no additional cost. This way you can share the memories of your marine adventures in Okinawa with your family and friends!
Motobu (Gorilla Chop)
Okinawa is an island that stretches from southwest to northeast. Usually in the summer months the wind blows from the east, which meanst that any point on the west side of the island is diveable. However in the winter, or in stormy weather in the summer, the wind blows from the north, which makes the southern shore of the Motobu peninsula the only location on Okinawa, which is diveable from shore. This place is home to several dive sites, most notably Gorilla Chop, which has a characteristic rock formation at the beach that resembles a gorilla doing a karate chop. The dive sites here are beginner friendly but still offer plenty to see even for experienced divers.

At Motobu we offer shore diving/snorkeling only. Entry is possible at any time when the sea conditions are favorable.
We offer free pick-up service from hotels in Onna, Yomitan, and Chatan. Pick-ups from other locations are also possible upon request. Please inquire.
Toilet and showers available in the parking lot.
We conduct many of our scuba diving courses in this dive area.

† Gear rental is included for Discover Scuba and Snorkeling only. For Fun Diving you can rent a full set of gear for ¥ 4000/day and a partial set at a reduced rate. If you do fun dives with us on multiple days, gear rental is free from the third day onward.
‡ The prices above are for a single day of diving.
§ Drinks and snacks are provided, however lunch is not included. We usually get food for lunch at one of the restaurants or convenience stores close to the shore. Prices range between ¥ 400 and ¥ 1000 depending on your order.
