During each trip, we take plenty of underwater pictures, which you will receive as a present at the end at no additional cost. This way you can share the memories of your marine adventures in Okinawa with your family and friends!
USS Emmons (Kouri Island)
Kouri Island is famous among tourists with its white beaches and long bridge spanning across picturesque emrald blue waters to the main Okinawa island. Among divers it is even more famous as the home of the USS Emmons wreck. The USS Emmons was an American destroyer which was sunk in the Battle of Okinawa during the Second World War. Due to the depth at which it is resting, this dive site is accessible only to divers with sufficient experience or Deep Diver specialty. For those who do not wish to venture that deep, Kouri Island also offers a number of splendid reef dive sites.
Since the wreck is located at a depth of 40-50 m, the NDL time is shorter than 10 min. For those in possession of a technical diving license and proof of experience, we offer guided longer technical dives with up to 100% O2 for accelerated decompression. Extra charges apply.

Appropriate for: deep divers and technical divers
Minimum number of participants: 1
Minimum number of dives per participant: 2
Boats leave daily at 9am and noon and return to port after each dive.
Departure is from the port in Kouri Island. We offer free pick-up service from hotels in Onna, Yomitan, Chatan, and Nago. Pick-ups from other locations are also possible upon request. Please inquire.
Boat travel time to the dive sites is from ~5 min to ~10 min.
Toilet and rinsing water available at the port.
Please note: Deep diving entails serious risks. This is why we urge those who wish to dive the USS Emmons, but only have an Advanced Open Water license, to complete the Deep Diver Specialty with us. This specialty course consists of a theory part and 4 open water dives, the 2 final ones of which can be at the USS Emmons. Please refer to the Deep Diver Specialty course information for details.

† Gear rental not included. You can rent a full set of gear for ¥ 4000/day and a partial set at a reduced rate. If you do fun dives with us on multiple days, gear rental is free from the third day onward.

§ Drinks and snacks are provided, however lunch is not included. We usually get food for lunch at one of the restaurants or convenience stores close to the port. Prices range between ¥ 400 and ¥ 1000 depending on your order.
